Cheese in the Trap S3C55

I learned from Cutie Boy that in Korea, there's a saying that goes like this: "A man should cry only three times in his life".
What a waste of tears.

On an unrelated note, korean money leeks like look?

  5. Thank you for translating this chapter, I was waiting for it! And just as I thought, I still don't like Joon. Seriously...with how hard Sul tries, nobody notices - it's only Joon who gets the parents' praise. And in the end? He threw away the opportunity for the States, continued to play around with money that he didn't earn, and so far hasn't acknowledged his sister except for "Oh, she's so much smarter~cry~it must be better for her." Ugh...even if he didn't want to go, he should've thought 'Hey, they're gonna waste a lot of money if I go, but I don't do well. Maybe I should say something so they don't lose all that money.'

  6. @readandweep their parents not appreciating how hard Sul tries isn't Joon's fault. They are failing in their parental responsibilities and that is their fault alone. He doesn't want to go back to the US and I totally understand why. He mentioned how unhappy he was there, he was mocked and bullied, and I suspect some of it was of a racial nature. IIRC he was made fun of for his accent/English speaking skills. He tried to tell his parents in this chapter but didn't really get a chance. And there's nothing wrong with crying. Some people are emotional and have trouble holding it in. Vive la difference.

It's good to see it from both sides. I feel bad for Joon, he's a good kid and I would have loved to have had a brother like him growing up, rather than what I did have. My sisters were insanely jealous and hated me for everything that I had no control over, from how I look to how well I did in school. They were all mediocre students while I was top of the class without really trying. Despite my never bragging or gloating, my sisters still took out their frustrations on me and bully me even to this day.
