Cheese in the Trap S3C47

I dont know about you, but I sense some kind of pattern here.
It's not the first opponent that goes down with great prejudice... as if...?

I bet it's a conspiracy between Sul and the author, it's gotta be it. Make no mistake, this is no romance but the great vengeance fantasy!

  1. The thing is that I was initially attracted to this webtoon or manhwa (sorry if I used the wrong terms) because I was expecting to see how the romance is going to develop based upon everyday but also refreshing background, the settings seemed not that cheesy and I liked the pace and atmosphere of the story. But now, I really like how it describes the struggles that Sul goes through and especially the way the society works, so much more than the romantic parts. So just bring on the vengeance, it just makes it even better!!! :D Oh, and I'm eternally thankful for all of your translations!! m(-.-)m

  6. so we chose YG&Jung's conversation a more specific way rather than literal way. Well, it's easier to read.

  7. Thank you so much!!!

I'm loving and really appreciate these quick updates (as I'm sure everyone else is). <3 This chapter was so refreshing seeing Sul finally being able to vent completely about the shit Min Soo put her through. Homegirl may have been insecure but she went down the wrong road and ended up driving herself mad twisted and a pathological liar.

I don't fully understand the dialogue that Jung said about Min Soo, could anyone explain?

  8. Yay! Thank you for the update! I have become an avid fan of CITT, please keep up the good work, odd squad team!

I hope the drama adaption is well-written coz so many webtoon adaptions just ruin with dramatic script changes. CITT is not all about romance, there is some mystery about Joon and Seol is not a typical weak girl, so I like that about her.

  14. I don't know if this section is the right place to start a discussion but, am I the only one who thinks that Hong Sul went too far...? She should have realized how pitiful and mentally weak Min Soo was, so why expose her like about the fake boyfriend in front of everyone? This was totally unnecessary, she could have just dragged her away and threatened her to tell the truth to everybody if she didn't apologize for everything she had done until now or something. She definitely had the upper hand, what she did was similar to bullying...
Destroying her life forever because she was a liar who was jealous of her to the point of wanting to be her... it's a little too much in my opinion.

  15. I don't think Sul destroyed Min Soo's life forever, and I think Min Soo did a lot of the ground work herself, to be honest.

And Sul was totally unaware Min Soo had a crush for her brother, if anything she acted out of surprise (it's somebody else who knew it beforehand =p). I mean, you have a spat with somebody and then you discover they pretend they have a relationship with your BROTHER (which you know is false), why would you try to control yourself not expressing your surprise out loud?

I've seen many pathetic behaviors from people who were in admiration for others, but they grow up quickly once they're "in", and never as bad as Min Soo's (I think she's unrealistic, how she admires, copies and despises Sul at the same time, but I must admit I'm not really a specialist in girl's ingroup relationships).

You have to draw a line somewhere, and you have to be opportunist sometimes. I don't see any insurance Min Soo would have behaved if Sul would have dragged her aside and blackmailed her into apologies (this is what you're suggesting). Being honest and upfront was a good move I think.

  16. I agree; Sul acted out of reflex as I think most people would when an immediate family member is seemingly used and brought in between a personal fight. If you think back to when Sul publicly humiliated Min Soo during the presentation, the author clearly showed Sul making the decision to act as she did. This time she didn't have this thought process. I think many people, like Sul, would not consider or sympathise with the offender, especially when Sul's affection and loyalty lies with her younger brother. I'd like to think I would be super awesome and be able to defend my sibling and solve Min Soo's problems too, but I always wonder if I'd actually do that when I get the opportunity.

Min Soo is a funny one; at first she's caught in this spiral of lies and is too afraid to take responsibility, apologise or at least clear them up. Then, adding Young Gon's influence, the author slowly shows how Min Soo loses sight of her original goal of self-development when she started to achieve a different kind of satisfaction through unfair and demeaning means; Sul turns from being viewed as an idol into a nemesis, and Min Soo becomes more obsessed with status: boyfriend, grades, beauty, friends. I have to say though, Min Soo is a fantastically thought through character - kudos to the author. I can't be the only one who thinks it's really cool to be given an insight into the way she thinks - she's surprisingly as resilient and as fierce as Sul (although Min Soo’s rather weak-minded). This chapter had a really epic battle between the two ways of thinking and the fight really brought out the differences between them. What a climax!

Anyway, too long don't read - CITT and OSS are so awweessommmee. Thanks for the scans :D

  17. I think she didn't go far enough. She was essentially being pecked away at and having her things stolen. Min Soo's jealousy destroyed her own reputation. She wanted what someone else had and instead of making her own life, she tried to STEAL a life. She's a petty little thief and I was glad to see her utterly humiliated. Now, if she's smart, she'll rebuild. She'll be herself, not soemone else, and be BETTER. Then she'll get the good things. But she's just been cheating and lying and being a total snot about it.
