Nooo.... i don't know chinese D:
ReplyDeleteor else i'd be perfect (except the 4 hrs)
QQ If only I knew chinese... (Is there something wrong with your translator since even PRer has to know chinese??)
ReplyDeleteNope, we like double checking, besides we have enough non chinese speaker proofreaders
ReplyDeleteSo then does that mean that speaking Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred but not really a strict requirement?
ReplyDeleteyeh not a strict requirement
ReplyDeleteWould the four hours be at any specific time or on the proofreader's own time?
ReplyDeleteIs there also at least some leeway with the MSN messenger thing? Another thing, do you have an age preferance?
ReplyDeletePlease do not apply in comments, I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY APPLICATION ON COMMENTS
ReplyDeleteI know Chinese and I'm very fluent in English. I applied :) Hope to get a reply soon :)
ReplyDeleteoh darn..........I don't think i have the 4 hrs everyday -.- and i don't have MSN..
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be okay to any enthusiastic proofreader-wannabes to apply, even if they can't accomplish the 4 hours requirement? I know you guys do a great job, and you update regularly, but if there are more people even if they can't be that active, they would still be good, if they passed the other requirements. And it's not like we - the ones that just read - will do anything if the updates slow down a bit. Yeah, I'm curious about the stories, but I know you guys have another life outside of this too. If there's a chance, maybe I should try too. :) -Even if I don't speak chinese...
ReplyDeleteHi, maybe I should apply? Cos I'm already working for the Second Life game project as an English editor..
ReplyDelete-Yuki
Wanted to apply but too young T~T
ReplyDeleteohoho!! i might be up to this job =DD
ReplyDeletemy proficiency in english can be counted as above average but maybe not "high"
and i'm a chinese (proud to say) but chinese is my second language -.- even though it's my mother tongue... OH WELL!! =D what do you think?
I would do it, but.... I can't give 4 hours everyday. XD Also, I'm bad at translating, and I think the only thing I can read is kajin. Truthfully I suck at that too. > 3 >'''
ReplyDeleteWhat if I study simplified chinese? I can somewhat read traditional chinese though.... Oh well maybe I will apply when I'm 17.
ReplyDeleteAh, darn. I saw an advertisement in 1/2 Prince about Cleaners/Translators, but it seems as though I don't even qualify for the simplest of jobs!
ReplyDeleteIf only I were an intelligent enough person to learn to read Chinese (the complicated characters bemuse me, greatly). Well, I suppose it would help if I actually signed up for classes or an instructor of some sort, but there is nothing along those lines readily available for me...
I suppose I should apologize for leaving such a rash comment! Sorry 'bout this, should it bother you at all. However, I have to say that (after reading the requirements) I feel greatly disheartened and dense (perhaps dumb would suit my mood better). Not that I expect anything, I mean, what could you do? *shrugs*
i wish i could help out but im 15 and nocturnal evil to a great degree but i can only read eng/jap so wish i could but some other time hopefuly
ReplyDeleteviva la vongola!
i know korean but m not old enough
ReplyDeleteHi! I was wondering if we could still apply if we don't speak Chinese or Korean? I am very proficient in English and would love to help proofread any scans to check for any errors? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes you can apply
ReplyDeleteWow 4 hours everyday...the staff here really do work hard ^-^
ReplyDeleteis the age really needed, im too young, but I would like to help..
ReplyDeleteIts too bad I'm too young...
ReplyDeleteJust one more year, I gotta learn some chinese in that time then though..
Keep up the great work guys!
Highly interested. Though I've been reading through the previous comments and there've been several mentions of Chinese being a requirement (as in the language).
ReplyDeleteIf that has changed and there's a shortage of proof-readers, I'd love to give it a shot.
Thanks,
J.
I'm too young right now but in in one more year I'd love to help out. During this year I'm gonna learn some Chinese in order to apply when I'm old enough.
ReplyDeleteHi, I was just wondering, even though I am a few years under the age limit, I fit the requirement for all the rest. I would love to do this, and learn how to help out on other projects when I get more adept at this....I even have a computer lab at which I can do things, but unfortunately it is at my school....BUT I can use everything well and even help, if you'd allow me. I understand if you say no. I'd just like to help out.
ReplyDeleteSame as above. I love your scans, have a few extra hours a day, and am proficient at English, taking AP Lang this year. I have my own laptop, but I'm only 15. I am willing to work as a proofreader or as a cleaner.
ReplyDeleteAck! Age restriction limits me T^T
ReplyDeleteHave a question: Is the 4 hours in our own time? or do you work on set times? I work during the day...
ReplyDeleteCurse you, age restriction! *shakes fist at ceiling*
ReplyDelete:P Yeah I only need 1 year more... Guess I can´t either.
